Blorenge
Dosbarth Blorenge Class is a vibrant mixed Year 2, 3 and 4 class where curiosity, creativity and collaboration are at the heart of learning. Set within the beautiful Wye Valley, we make the most of our surroundings to inspire outdoor learning and meaningful connections to our local environment. Following the Curriculum for Wales, pupils are encouraged to become confident, curious learners who ask questions, think creatively and take pride in their achievements. In Blorenge, children are supported to work both independently and together, developing strong relationships, resilience and a love of learning in a happy, nurturing classroom.

Grub Club Fun!
This term, we’ve had great fun cooking together!
We worked collaboratively to measure ingredients, prepare our recipes, and even tackle the washing up. One of our highlights was making mincemeat using apples harvested from our very own orchard. We also made sure to use Fairtrade sugar, learning about ethical choices while enjoying the process.
VR Headsets
This term, we’ve had an exciting journey using VR headsets to explore a variety of fascinating topics. We took a close look at the vital role roots play in a plant’s lifecycle, focusing on how they develop and support growth. The experience helped us understand how essential roots are for stability, nourishment, and overall plant health. We also soared through a dazzling firework display, which inspired us to create our own poems. The vivid colours, sounds, and movement sparked our imaginations and led to some truly creative writing
Forest School Fun!
Year 2 learners have enjoyed a range of wonderful Forest School activities this term.
From building dens to creating beautiful pictures using natural materials, the children embraced the outdoors with creativity and teamwork. These experiences helped them connect with nature while developing problem-solving and collaboration skills.
